Residence and work renewal, granted for four years

The decision

How the matter was handled

Our client held a temporary residence and employment permit, and it was time to renew. A renewal is not granted on its own: the requirements of Organic Law 4/2000 and its Regulation must be evidenced again, one by one, and within the deadline. One badly documented requirement and what was already settled is lost.

We filed the application with the Madrid Immigration Office in August 2025, with the employment history and residence records ordered so the examiner would not find a single gap.

The Government Delegation in Madrid decided in November 2025: 110 days from filing. It granted the renewal for four years.

The permit takes effect from 6 October 2025, seven weeks before the decision was signed. Our client kept living and working without interruption, his status settled until October 2029.

Every case is unique: it depends on its facts, its evidence and the authority deciding it. The outcome of one matter does not anticipate the outcome of any other, and the timescales given here are the ones that particular file took: they are set by the authorities, not by us.
