Banking & Consumer

Many of the terms consumers sign without reading have been held unfair by the courts, and what was overcharged under them can be reclaimed. The first step is always the same: read the whole contract and check exactly what was signed.

What we do

  • We review mortgages and loans for unfair terms.
  • We reclaim set-up costs, interest and fees wrongly charged.
  • We act against revolving credit cards and loans at disproportionate interest.
  • We pursue insurers that reject a claim or pay less than is due.
  • We handle complaints against electricity, telecoms, water and service providers.
  • We assess the Second Chance Act where debt has become unsustainable.

What people usually bring us

  • A card paid for years whose balance never goes down.
  • A mortgage signed long ago with costs that may not have been the client’s to pay.
  • A claim rejected by an insurer on unconvincing grounds.
  • Bills from a provider for a service cancelled months ago.

Before making a claim we need the actual paperwork: contract, deed and amortisation schedule. Without them nobody can tell you whether there is anything to claim, and anyone who says otherwise without seeing them does not know.
